APPEAL OF PM RTE, June 7th 2013

Erdoğan: "These protests provoked by journalists, artists and politicians must stop immediately."

The Prime Minister made a speech in his return from North Africa: "They said they will succeed without the election on what they could not succeed with the election"

PM Tayyip Erdogan called for an end to the demonstrations of Gezi Park immediately. "Here, this is not the travellers inn. By saying they were journalists, artists, politicians, they have transgressed the law extremely irresponsibly, they caused segregation, provocation. Democratic freedom of expression has lost its quality, which completely transformed to vandalism, and to violation of laws, which must end.

Erdoğan who underlined that they analyze facts and then evaluate the actions, said "We never wanted to break the feelings. We wanted to make people pleased. But we stayed proud, without becoming stiff. We have nothing to do with the fight, we have nothing to do with the conflict. We have nothing to do with the vandalism. We do not like to burn, break, destroy.

"Right now the interest lobby* believes to threaten us with the idea to emergee a crisis in the stock market. We will not let them eat the bread that this people have earned with sweat. We arrived to this day by saying "to those who wait, comes the victory," said Erdoğan.

Erdoğan underlined that "police has only done his duty, but what action necessary will be taken regarding the use of excessive force," also claimed that "those who have not succeeded with votes seek ways without the votes".

PM Tayyip Erdogan returned from his trip to North Africa at 2am and addressed from the roof of a campaign bus of AKP, thousands of people have gathered on the airport to greet him.

"Turkey is proud of you", "Let the hands that hit the police break", "Ya Allah Bismillah Alllahu Ekber" Erdoğan who spoke amid slogans of "Allahu Ekber" and has severely criticized those who participated and supported the Gezi Park resistence  said:

"We believe in you, they said"

"On this beautiful Istanbul night, thank you for letting us live this excitement, this magnificent joy, this imperturbable happiness. Tonight, I salute not only you, but also all my brothers who breathe in all the cities and all the villages of Turkish Republic.

I greet all the farmers, all the villagers, all workers, all proletarians who mixed their sweat with their bread. I salute all my brothers who are also as great, as brave, as worthy as serious as Turkey.

At this moment, from Istanbul, I welcome Sarajevo, Cairo, Skopje, Baghdad, Damascus, Ramallah, Mecca and Medina which are brothers of Istanbul.

Of course I welcome Istanbul, every neighborhood, every street. I welcome Istanbul from my heart.

I brought you the welcome of my brothers in Morocco, my brothers in Algeria, Tunisia. My precious brothers, I hope that Allah will make our brotherhood eternal, and will not hurt our fraternity, our unity, our solidarity.

All our brothers there, have said this: "all that can be lived through, because we believe in you." "

"The interest lobby thinks they can threaten us"

"We never wanted to break feelings. We wanted to make people pleased. But we stayed proud, without becoming stiff. We have nothing to do with fight, we have nothing to do with conflict. We have nothing to do with vandalism. We do not like to burn, break, destroy.

My brothers, I said, we are here today despite the interest lobby. And today lobby thinks they can threaten us by creating difficulties on stock market. They need to understand this very clearly: we won't let them eat the bread that people have earned with their sweat.

If the CEO of a bank says he is on the side of these vandals, he will find us facing him.

We arrived today by developing the Turkish economy. We got here by exalting our people. Now the world talks about Turkish men.

"We got here by saying to the patient goes the victory"

"Where these stories come from? We arrived at today by telling ourselves that patient will find victory. Everyone knows: we got here by building Turkey around fraternity, by increasing the fraternity, by exalting the fraternity. We never made separation between 76 million.

There are those who say that Prime Minister says he is the Prime Minister of 50%. Your hand off your tongue. We have always said that we were the servants of 76 million.

We served without distinction, from the west of Turkey, until further east. Who would have thought 10 years ago that there would be an airport in Hakkari in Iğdır in Şırnak? When we arrived, there were 26 airports in cities. Today we have 50. But those who show up in front of us are not interested in these services, but who makes these services. It is the government of AKP. So they said, let's do something to succeed without the votes, what we failed to do with the votes.

My beloved brethren, we have rejected the ethnic, religious, ideological or moral of people. Because, listen to me, we are not the ruler of the 50% of the population or of 76 million. We are its servants. We are Turkey together. We are brothers. "

"We, read the events, analyse them"

"We read the events happening in Turkey, analyse, evaluate, and then act. The success of the AKP is not conflict or bias. Or should they [the protesters] know that we are the generation Asim. I can not applaud the oppression, I can never praise the oppressor.

By all means, we want them to respect us. We told ourselves something before getting on the road, it was said before, the goal is democracy. And we will succeed.

My brothers, who lends is the people. And the relic, it is only the people who can receive it back. no one outside of that people can put his hand over the relic.

We understood this relic for ten years, as sacred. We protected it as our own lives and in the future, we will continue to protect it as our own lives.

"Three people are dead because of 15 trees"

"We can not tolerate that anyone whatsoever to do injustice, vandalism, destruction to our cities, our peoples.

Events that are supposedly made for 15 trees on Gezi park have left behind three dead. Two young people have lost their lives, a police chief was martyred.

Brethren, if the death of these young people are important, the serenity of my police chief is equally important. To who belongs this police force? It works to ensure our safety in this country. They are sometimes in front of terrorists, sometimes in front of anarchists and sometimes in front of vandals.

"Our police did the right thing, necessary action will be taken about excessive use of force"

"What they say is, what's going to happen? Here, it is not the travellers inn. This country is the Republic of Turkey. And the police is only doing his duty, it is standing against those who have robbed everyone, even the vehicles of citizens, public vehicles, public institutions. They may have made excessive use of this strength. Our Minister of Internal Affairs will do what's necessary. Public vehicles, vehicles of citizens, shops were damaged. They went as far as burning a Turkish flag. They even targeted our young people who win their life by picking up papers on the streets.

"Journalists, artists and politicians have made the provocation, this event should immediately end"

"My brothers, by saying they are journalists, artists, politicians, they transgressed the laws irresponsably, by segregation, and by provocation. Democratic freedom of expression that lost its quality, which has completely transformed in to vandalism, and violation of law, must end.

Our innocent citizens who descended to the road with sincerity, and who have been exploited by terrorist organizations should finally see this dirty game, and should return.

My innocent citizens must distinguish themselves from the protesters. Whatever we do, we're going to do with democracy, with the law. We 76 million will face those who operate outside this, all together. "

"You're not from those who walk with pots and pans in hand."

"You make no concession on your tolerance, your solemnity for 10 days. Now we will go home. And we will not make concession on our solemnity, or our common sense.

You do not have pots and pans at home, do you? This is very important! You're not the ones who roam the streets with pots and pans, the youth will be one that carry his computer in hand. We will conduct our actions to our ideal of the great Turkey with determination.

My brothers, you are the young people who are examples for the oppressed, the Balkans, Anatolia, and Africa. You will make great strides and will be running to big goals. You're not going to fool, get fooled, or deceive.

Thank you all of you. I embrace all the youth of Turkey. Welcome frome the bottom of my heart to all my brothers in Anatolia, Thrace, my friends and brothers of the whole earth.

Dear citizens of Istanbul, be sure that no one other than Allah can prevent the growth of Turkey.

I pray for our police chief who has been martyred, and two young people who have lost their lives, and send my condolences to their families.

May Allah guide us and help us. Let our path, our destiny to be clear, I entrust you all to our creator.

*The interest lobby: Erdoğan uses the word "faiz" for "interest" in his speech, which has the specific "a charge for borrowed money generally a percentage of the amount borrowed" meaning. However, neither politically, nor economically is there an "interest lobby" in the world. On the other hand, there are many lobbies providing support for the "interests" of different countries, industrial groups, etc. It is believed that a brief in English which had suggestions for Erdoğan's 3 AM airport balcony speech was translated incorrectly by his advisors. As a result the PM is put the blame on a certain non-existing "interest lobby" instead of the "interest lobbies", which he was supposed to blame.
