Protests that started in Dersim last Friday in support of Gezi Resistance continues.
Human Rights Association's Dersim representative Attorney Baris Yildirim stated to bianet that he supported the strikes announced in the city by the syndications DISK and KESK and that the people will be on streets today starting from the afternoon .
Yildirim explained the Dersim people's requests as follows:
"The responsibles for State violence must resign, the ecological destruction in Dersim and in the wider country must stop, the hydroelectric power plant (HES), mine and patrol projects must be cancelled, the ruling party must end its repressive politics."
Local cafes were attacked too
Attorney Yildirim informed that nobody was arrested or injured during the police raids yesterday however two persons were injured in head the night before.
According to a report by Dersim News, yesterday's attack continued from 20:00 to 01:30. More than 1000 people that gathered in Palavra Square built barricades on the roads and police started to fire gas bombs from the other side of the barricades.
Dersim inhabitants that were affected by gas bombs were admitted to Tunceli State Hospital. Police forces fired gas bombs to cafes and the hospital too. Many patients and their relatives in hospital were affected.
