Egitim-Sen Istanbul universities' branch's call for action:
Dear members, AKP that has been trying to repress Gezi Parki resistance with violence and police terror from day 1, as expected, heinously attacked Taksim again this morning. The only way to prevent AKP, that has been trying to pacifise public with promises of non-intervention in Gezi Parki, from intervening in Gezi Parki tomorrow is to own our resistance today. Taksim Platform invites everybody in Istanbul to increase the level of democratic resistance. We invite all of our members to get out of their office and come to Gezi Parki. We are convening at Taksim square at 12:30. If we do not act today, there will be no Gezi Parki tomorrow so let's own our democratic resistance.
