It has been uncovered that Turkish Police is keeping tabs on Christiane Amanpour too



Police Department report about Gezi protests, states that news reporters, sports fans and artists engaged in provocation. The report also mentions Amanpour, the famous news reporter of CNN.

Vatan newspaper acquired the details of Police Department report on Gezi protests which was sent to district attorney based on 10th article of Anti-Terror Law. The protests that occured from May 31st to June 16th have been covered in detail in the report.

‘Incitement to civil insurgence’

Police department report contained 21 separate criminal charges including "inciting people to civil insurgence against government, swearing to state authorities on personality of prime minister, using slogans containing insult and threats, painting graffiti, confiscating police officer's gun by lynching". As evidence some photos taken during events have been presented and 261 people of which 23 are police officer,s are shown as "victim".

Report cites civil organisations like Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects, Progressive Lawyers Association, Turkish Medical Association, Ankara Bar Association, Human Rights Association, and Ankara Chamber of Commerce as part of "anti-government press organisations, journalists, civil organisations, sports fans, art society members and marginal groups provoked people who participated the protests" statement.

On the Police department report it is stated that "international media organizations served the news to the worlds in an exagerated and warped style" and that "they performed disinformation, and published very opinionated and false news such as "a civil riot has started in Turkey". In the report where CNN International's famous news anchor Christian Amanpour was also mentioned, it is stated that "During protests CNN has broadcasted more live news than they broadcasted in 90 years history of Turkish Republic, and opinionated the whole world, and they interrupted the speech of Prime Minister's advisor and cut broadcasting".
